The animation you have created so far is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Animating graphic elements created in applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, is relatively simple, as is working with straight video footage. However, when you need to combine these two different types of media, motion and camera tracking are tools you can use.

I began by tracing a print out of the logo I wanted to apply the effect to. I then scanned that traced logo and adjusted the levels in Photoshop in order to make the black of the marker stand out in high contrast to the white paper.

Adobe After Effects is a digital motion graphics and compositing software. Its main purpose is for film and video post-production. With Adobe After Effects it’s possible to create so great looking visual effects as in “Hollywood style” movies. Adobe After Effects is mainly used to create visual effects for commercials and movies but you can also create image slide-shows, some small videos, transition effects for websites and stuff like that.
