The animation you have created so far is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. In addition to animating the native properties of layers, you can add additional properties and complexity to any animation by adding and animating effects, and when you want even more control of your animation, you can use tools such as Smoother, Wiggler, and the Graph Editor to enhance your work.

Animating graphic elements created in applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, is relatively simple, as is working with straight video footage. However, when you need to combine these two different types of media, motion and camera tracking are tools you can use.

Premiere Pro lets you edit audio tracks and audio files. You can add background music, add a narrative track, and clean up background noise to enhance the overall quality of your project.

You can accomplish many tasks using the Selection and Razor tools, but you will want to understand the more advanced and task-specific tools of Premiere Pro for more complex and detailed editing.

After editing is completed, you will want to export the video for use in broadcast, on-line, or DVD. In this lesson, you will gain an understanding of options for deployment and factors that influence the quality of exported video.

In the previous lessons in this book, you worked with footage that was already captured or transferred from a recording source. In this lesson, you will learn to transfer the footage from your camera or storage card.
